Careers in EKG Technology!
EKG Technicians are healthcare
professionals trained in the practice of
electrocardiography. EKG technicians perform ekgs, which involves
applying electrodes to a patient and printing out a report of their
electrical impulses transmitted by the heart.
An EKG technician
with advanced training performing holter monitoring and stress
testing is also called a Cardiographic
Technologist. Our program
prepares you for certification as an EKG technician (CET)or a
Cardiographic Technician (CCT).
EKG/Cardiographic Technicians work in the hospital setting, doctor's
office, or telemetry unit.
