The National Healthcareer Association
Passing our Basic Phlebotomy Course or EKG Technician Course will provide you with the knowledge and experience necessary to take the NHA's certification exam (for phlebotomy technician or EKG technician). These exams are not a requirement for our courses. Our classrooms are registered NHA exam sites, allowing you to take the NHA exam at a convenient location. This testing/certification requires a separate fee (paid to the NHA). Please click on the NHA logo to be directed to their site for more information.
When registering, please indicate under "test site" whether you will be taking the exam at the Springfield classroom or the Bend classroom.
  • Eugene/Springfield students please refer to test site OR-01
  • Bend students please refer to test site OR-02

The American Society for Clinical Pathology(ASCP)
The ASCP provides an examination (the PBT) for certification of Phlebotomists as well.  The ASCP is considered the preeminent organization for certification of laboratory personnel.  The requirements for taking the PBT exam are stricter than the NHA's requirements, preventing new students from taking it upon graduation.  Requirement for the PBT can be found here.
